About us
Ezra Preparatory School was born out of a vision of Janine and Andre Kruger and the Emmanuel Church Council to faithfully steward and use the Emmanuel Church property to serve the community of Lorraine, Kamma Park and surrounds, by offering top-quality, personal education for the glory of God. Ezra officially started in January 2020 and has been steadily growing ever since, adding a grade each year. Our vision is to faithfully see the school grow up to matric (Grade 12) level. Ezra is a private, fee paying school, operating as a registered Non-Profit organization, whereby one of our goals is to offer financial support for certain learners and dedicated parents. This is done through fundraising and individual sponsorship.
Vision
Our vision is that we at Ezra, teach learners a biblical worldview that prepares the hearts and minds of our pupils through an excellent holistic education best equipping them to be a positive influence on society. We therefore aim to offer excellent education taught by qualified teachers who are committed to the overall wellbeing and development of our learners. We also aim to best use and leverage all resources, including finances, skills and networks to support this vision of educating and equipping all learners, including both the conventional classroom, as well as many other creative and interactive aspects of learning.
Staff
Our full-time staff team of dedicated teachers and assistants. We also have a number of volunteers who teach various sports and activities. The overall running of the school, finances and decisions are all overseen by a Governing board of volunteers, teachers, parents and the principal, along with the Rector chairing the governing board.
Our Principal
Mrs. Janine Kruger leads the operational team here at Ezra and is passionate about holistic education being taught in a way that sees children grow and develop. Janine has over 20 years of teaching experience in both the government schooling system, and in private schooling, with experience in teaching both CAPS and Cambridge curriculums. Janine is also a wife and mother of three daughters, and a whole bunch of pets!
